Do you know who you are? Not just your name and physical attributes. Can you describe yourself? Think about it for a minute… what is your personality like? Are you outgoing, shy, perceptive or adventurous? What do you enjoy doing? Art, music, reading, science, sports. Maybe you’re good at listening, learning, writing, building or performing.
No matter how you choose to describe yourself, there are a few really important things that you must always remember…
- You were created by God. (Psalm 139:14)
- You are a child of God. (John 1:12)
- You are God’s masterpiece. (Ephesians 2:10)
Sometimes looking at yourself in a positive way can be difficult. But if you remember how God sees you – the identity you have in Him – it changes everything. Truly you are special. Amazing. Beautiful. Wonderful. And so much more. That is who you are.
Ephesians 2:10 (from the Bible, New Living Translation)
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
